Discover Life at Seaview Rise, Rothesay Bay
Our vision for Seaview Rise was to create a rare opportunity: the Rothesay Bay lifestyle, without the usual compromises.
From its elevated, north-facing position on Knights Road, each home is designed to capture ocean views. But it’s the thoughtful details that truly set it apart: a smart 2-bed, 2-bath layout, quality finishes, and crucially, your own front door to the street.
This is lock-and-leave living at its best—a short stroll from the village and the beach. It’s an opportunity built with purpose, designed for value, and delivered to a standard we’re proud of.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes a Tayored home stand out from the rest?
Honestly? We obsess over it. Before we even think about foundations, we get a crystal-clear picture of who is going to call this place home. We ask ourselves: What will make their day easier? Where should the light switches go so they’re not annoying? Is there enough storage for all their stuff? We think about the little things that often get missed. This vision guides every single decision, ensuring the final home doesn’t just look great, but feels right.
HOW DOES TAYLORED CHOOSE THE PERFECT SPOTS TO BUILD?
Having spent 40 years in this game, we’ve learned that a great location is only half the battle. Our “secret sauce” is a strict checklist that ensures we also find the perfect product at the right price point for the area. This approach guarantees that whether you’re living here or investing, you’re getting a property that just works and has a bright future ahead. We do the heavy lifting so you don’t have to.
How does Taylored keep quality in check?
It’s simple: our name is on the door. We’re not a faceless corporation; we’re two brothers who have spent a lifetime building our reputation. That means we’re hands-on. We’re on-site constantly, not just for big milestones, but for the small stuff, too. After 40 years, you learn who the best tradespeople are, and we’ve built a team of builders and suppliers we trust to get it right. We have a non-negotiable standard, and we personally ensure every home meets it. For us, quality isn’t a box-ticking exercise—it’s our family name.
Will I be part of a Body Corporate?
Instead of a traditional body corporate, our developments have a Residents Association (RA). The RA’s role is to manage and fund the ongoing maintenance of all common areas. Every resident contributes to the RA account to cover the cost of future repairs and upkeep.
What deposit do i need to have, and when is it due?
For new townhouse builds, New Zealand residents are required to pay a 10% deposit. This is due once your sale and purchase agreement becomes unconditional. The deposit is held securely in our solicitor’s trust account, where it will also accrue interest.
What is a “Sunset Clause” and why is it in the contract?
When you buy a home off the plans, a sunset clause is a standard part of the agreement. Our contracts include a purchaser-friendly sunset clause, which is designed to protect you. It’s important to know that we cannot cancel the contract to sell the property for a higher price after it has been signed.
What type of Title does a Taylored Home come with?
All of our homes come with a freehold or fee simple title. This is the most common and favorable type of land ownership in New Zealand. Unlike a unit title, which is typical for apartments, a freehold title means you own the land and the home outright.
Is a Taylored Home a good investment?
Our homes are a fantastic option for investors for three key reasons:
- Tax Advantages: Enjoy a significant financial advantage with new builds, as a portion of the mortgage interest is tax-deductible, helping to boost your bottom line.
- Reduced Costs: Our homes are designed for modern living and are built to last. Durable materials and low-maintenance features mean fewer headaches and lower operating costs for you.
- Strong Returns: We meticulously select locations in sought-after neighborhoods to ensure strong rental demand and excellent potential for capital appreciation.
Can i use my kiwisaver as a deposit?
Yes, it may be possible to purchase using your kiwi saver as your deposit if you are a first-home buyer. We highly recommend you speak with a mortgage broker, your bank, or your lawyer to understand the specific process and what options might be available to you.
Is there a warranty on my new home?
Yes, every home we build is covered by the Stamford Warranty, a comprehensive 10-year building warranty insurance policy. This warranty provides you with peace of mind and protection for your investment.
The Stamford Warranty is an insurance-backed policy that covers your home against defects in design, materials, and workmanship.
What are the key benefits of living in a townhouse?
Townhouses offer a great balance of space and convenience. They are typically more affordable and require less maintenance than a traditional standalone house, while still providing more room and privacy than an apartment. They are often located close to urban amenities, and the “lock-up-and-leave” lifestyle is perfect for busy professionals, downsizers, or those who love to travel.
Do you offer customisation options?
Our homes are thoughtfully designed to a high standard, with carefully selected fittings and colour palettes. To ensure a smooth and efficient building process, we do not offer customisation or changes to the plans or specifications.
Our numbers don’t lie: 40 years’ experience, 30+ projects, and $1 billion in value delivered. We have a history of hitting our deadlines and keeping our word. No excuses, full stop.
We start with a clear vision for the people who will actually live here. We obsess over the small details that make a home practical and easy to live in. It’s not just a checklist; it’s about crafting homes designed for real life.
In an industry full of talkers, we’re doers. With 40 years of experience, we’ve seen almost every problem and know how to solve it. We’re the guys who turn plans on paper into places people are proud to call home.
We talk straight, especially when things get tough. You’ll get honest answers and clear updates without the jargon. If there’s a problem, you’ll hear it from us first—with a solution already in hand.
You can’t build great things alone. We’ve spent decades building a handpicked network of the best architects, builders, and suppliers in the business—people who share our intolerance for mediocrity and our commitment to getting it right.
Our partners.
